- Go to the AFL site that shows you results - http://afl.com.au/Results/tabid/11433/default.aspx
- Click on Round 1 tab.
- Beneath the box with the two teams logos, click on “report”.
- At the very bottom of the page is the crowd figure. Copy this into a new Excel spreadsheet.
- Once you have done all the 8 games for the round, go back to Excel and round them to the nearest 10,000 people.
- Using the “add’ formula, add up the two sets of figures (the real crowd figures and the rounded numbers).
- Is rounding to the nearest 10,000 useful (is it close to the real figure)?
- Decide on another amount to round to and complete a fourth column for your new rounding.
- Complete the sheet for round one and decide the best way you can present your work.
